The importance of good character cannot be over emphasized, particularly in tough, uncertain times. A person's true character comes to the forefront when faced with difficult or unpopular situations or decisions.

In an effort to recognize those that have displayed exemplary character in their personal and public lives, citizens and organizations are encouraged to submit nominations for the following categories:

CITIZEN OF CHARACTER
FAMILY OF CHARACTER
TEACHER OF CHARACTER
GED STUDENT OF CHARACTER
BUSINESS OF CHARACTER
SERVICE CLUB, ORGANIZATION OR AGENCY OF CHARACTER

HOW TO OBTAIN NOMINATION FORMS

Forms may be obtained from the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, Prattville City Hall, and branches of the Prattville-Autauga Public Library.

Applications may also be downloaded by clicking the desired category above. The forms are fillable. (You will need to have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed to access the forms (http://get.adobe.com/reader/)). Once completed, save to your computer and then attach to an email addressed to Boo Rogers, pacharacter@prattvillechamber.com

Criteria for nominations are on the nomination forms.

DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS

Applications must be  mailed, emailed, or submitted to Boo Rogers, 131 North Court Street, Prattville, Al 36067 by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4.

NOTIFICATION AND RECOGNITION

Category winners will be notified and recognized at the Character Awards luncheon on May 11.
