What is Creativity?
Creativity is the
ability to use the imagination to develop new and original ideas or things,
especially in an artistic context or to approach a need, a task,
or an idea from a new perspective.
To be creative
involves using rational knowledge to understand the challenge confronting us...
then it steps into using imagination, inspiration, resourcefulness, and the
ability to visualize potential answers or outcomes.
To many great and
creative minds intuition and thinking outside the box or "coloring outside the
lines" are avenues to being inventive.
Being creative not only allows for artistic expressions, whether in
music, paint, dance, etc..., but it also allows the means to solve problems in a
new way. Albert Einstein said,
"You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created." This
quote shows the rational reasoning for creative thinking- it is quite necessary
for us to progress in daily life, business, or governing entities.
April brings the
opportunity of creative artistic expression through our Character Poster
